Spring Brambles, a simple study of a Common Yellowthroat perched on a blackberry cane, was a donation I painted for the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art in Santa Barbara, California. This fundraiser,"5 x 5: Celebrating Westmont College's 80th Anniversary" featured 5 x 5 works by regional, national and international artists. I intend to do a larger work along this line.
